don't know about all jobs...but of the ones I have tried I would have to say being an over the road trucker is about the loneliest... living in a metal box not as big as some closets for weeks at a time is no fun.

My son took a low end job at a national park. He was young and they called him a Park Ranger so he was so excited to start. They had him in a little shack, mostly glass, in the middle of a wooded area on third shift. I have known my son has the heart of a lion since he was a kid. He was never looking for trouble, but would wade into anything that looked like there was an underdog to save. By the third night, they called and asked why he hadn't shown up. When he came home the next am, I asked him why he had not gone back. He told me he just sat there listening to night noises and seeing yellow eyes staring at him all night for two nights and lost it.
