any charges brought against him if the law is wanting him to be an informant against a drug case and has basically treatened him with his past if he does not help them. Reminder, he has never been in ANY trouble with the law what so ever. I think he is being railroaded into helping them and he just does not know any better because he has never had to deal with the law before. Please help if you have any answers

Sure, they could charge him. Anyone can be charged with anything...and you don't have to be "caught" in the act to be charged. They must have some sort of information about his past (how else could they make threats?), but they may not really have enough information to try him. It's hard to really know what they have and whether or not they can use that information. Plus, it depends on how old the information is and whether or not he could be charged federally (a lot of drug crimes are federal) as to whether or not a time bar as to whether he can be charged comes into play.

My advice? He needs a lawyer.

Cops are limited in what they can do. Per supreme court rulings, they can LIE to defendents to trick them into confessing and or be informants. If they have NO evidence on your friend, he can tell them to screw-off and the cops can't do anything to him. But you are not giving us all the relevant information. Did he CONFESS to the cops? Did he sign a confession? If so then your friend SCREWED UP. He needs to drop $250 and spend an hour with a defense attourney who knows the laws of his state. Or if you want to be a good friend...you can buy him an hour with a defense attourney.

A $250 investment for an hours time can possible save your friend a lot of trouble with the cops and ESPECIALLY the people he is narcing on...

He needs to get a lawyer pronto. Most crimes have a statute of limitations, which means that after a certain amount of time passes you cannot be charged with the crime. A lawyer will help him decide whether he is in any danger of being convicted, and whether being an informant is a reasonable option.

It depends on where he lives & what their statue of limitations are. They can go back & file charges If he is law abiding then why does he not want to turn in criminals. What railroaded? It is called civic minded.

that could be a stable thought - to no longer try 2 tricky with anybody guy or woman. If she used to sign in to MSN, and he or she does not at present, she probable only has something going on. in keeping with hazard that is something with artwork or college or something new has arise in her existence that is taking her up her concentration. Did you bypass away her a message once you referred to as her? in case you left her one message, and that is been 2 weeks, and you haven't any longer emailed her or IM'd or textual content cloth-messaged her, you will desire to do any of those issues. deliver her yet another message, yet do no longer point out you already tried to touch her. Make the message extremely gentle and upbeat. If she does not reply to a 2d touch attempt, enable it bypass. only ensure you have sent her the thank you to get in touch with you. in keeping with hazard she began relationship somebody, or she have been given returned which incorporate somebody. notwithstanding in case you and he or she are only pals, some adult adult males are very possessive and do in comparison to "their" women human beings conversing to different adult adult males for any reason. Or, in keeping with hazard she only has some variety of difficulty - it might desire to be approximately you, and it might desire to have no longer something to do with you. She advised you it become okay to call her, ultimate? so which you probably did no longer do something incorrect by using calling her. You on no account understand, in keeping with hazard (only in keeping with hazard) she did no longer get your message or if she did she lost it. So, that is extremely worth a 2d attempt to realize her. If she does not respond, only drop it for no less than a month, then you definately would desire to objective one extra time. THEN, if there's no longer something...nicely, try, try returned, like they are asserting! only with somebody else!

He should immediately ask for a lawyer and shut up. Police are ALLOWED TO LIE to get you to cooperate. They can say, "If you don't help us we will find something to put you away for twenty years" and it's perfectly legal to SAY it, but they can't DO it.
