Probably got "locked." Older cars do that sometimes. Wiggle the steering well back and forth a lot while playing with the key. Eventually it come unlocked if that is what happened.

Make sure it is in park. I know it sounds dumb but if you shut the car off in any gear but park, it wont let you take the keys out or start the car. If it is in park try takeing it out of park and pushing it back into park. We really need more details, will the car start?

yes, just play with the steering wheel, the key will come out.
Also, very basic but be sure you put the car on park, if it's still in drive it will not come out.

Make sure you have the car in park, mash the brake pedal ALL the way to the floor, and make sure you have the key in the right position to to take it out out the ignition.

Sounds like the ignition switch after 10 years is the problem. SAFTY FIRST. Please take your blazer to your local chevy dealership and have the service dept correct the problem for you.
