It's not known if the whole universe (not just that visible due its age and finite speed of light) is finite or infinite. Regardless, it can be consistently presumed to be, on the largest scale, homogeneous, isotropic, and unbounded. This is possible due to the peculiar properties of space and time in general relativity. If you imagine travelling far enough in one direction long enough, you end back in the same place and everything looks much the same along the way. I say "imagine" because only your imagination could move fast enough (>c) to do this in our expanding universe.

According to Prof. Stephen Hawking, the boundary propasal of the universe is that it has no boundary. It is like walking to the whole earth without falling and without limit. You can circum-navigate the earth as many as you want.
But unlike the earth, the universe is like a balloon that is expanding at a constant rate (Hubble's constant).

The observable universe does have a finite size. No one knows for sure if the entire universe is finite or infinite, although "No one believes, however, that the observable universe is precisely the entire universe...."

A theory that I have heard and almost can believe, is that The Creator is outside of time (and of course inside of time too..) as we are inside time..and I think that God is present in the Now, and that time is flowing through the eternal Now...But since He is creating the Now, the universe must be finite.. to a place where there is no more universe, only God. Or is that here, and is it ALL in our minds.. as everything we see is temporal, and at the end of time, the only thing that really matters is, do we have a personal relationship with Creator God...now. There was/is only one God/Man, and He is the one who Resurrected. We can be God's kids through Him..
