It could mean that you're insecure of your feet but you're unaware of it. It could also mean that you're telling yourself to step up, stand up, anything moral that would involve your feet.

Dream interpretations always say more about the interpreter than the dreamer. The images, story, background of your dream have significance but only YOU can really interpret your dreams. Some symbols have meanings which may be understood by others; their meanings can come from your culture, and some have said there are universal meanings for some symbols that all human beings can recognize. Read Jung, Freud, or any book on dream interpretation for some information on "standard" meanings ascribed to dream symbols. But meaning can also come from your personal experience; for example if you always walked east to go home at the end of the day, east could mean ending or completion for you, rather than a more traditional dawn or beginnings meaning. How do you know when the meaning you find for an image or entire dream is "right"? When you get that "aha!" feeling. I would urge you to be skeptical of anyone who tries to define the creativity of YOUR subconscious; take any interpretations others offer as, at best, their suggestions - and they may or may not have significance for you.
So - what does it mean? :) The following resources might help you answer.

It sounds like it's just a variation on the "naked" dream that everyone has.
It is fear of embarassment, humiliation, or of being different (in a bad way).
It's hard to guess without knowing you, but the fact that it is your shoes missing could mean that you think shoes are an important part of how people judge/view you. Or that you are unhappy with how your feet look.
There could also be other more subtle meaning to your shoes being missing. For example, maybe you feel like you have to "watch your step" at school?
A lot of the online dream sites say dreams about shoes have to do with a journey.

Dreams are just weird that way. You might have understood the reason DURING the dream, but afterwards, you may not remember. Don't stress it. Dreams are merely what happens when you brain is trying to reorganize itself. Lots of weird tidbits mix together, but they're put away in their proper places later on. Besides...you may have had many, many other dreams during that same night without realizing it. Does any one of them really matter?

Anything we try to hide is something that provokes embarrassment, shame or humiliation.
Are you hiding your shoes, or are you hiding you? The shoes may be a metaphor for your life. Many people dislike attention of any kind.

shoes is something which protects our feet from cold and other things. we need to wear it only if necessary. but now wearing shoes has become a fashion and a thing of status thats y we c people wearing shoes even in very hot climate. we have to learn to live in harmony with nature instead of becoming artificial. you should have the guts to break away from these artificial methods.

Maybe you refuse to walk in ''shoes'' and choose to stand on your own feet :)
I don't think it's about humiliation or embarrassment, i think its about a young fellow trying to find himself :)
