Please! Before you do anything go to this web site and at least take the mini lessons and look at the disability list that they provide. This is the most and best information you will get and it works. You do not need a lawyer to file for social security disability benefits. As they do work on contingency in ss cases they normally like for you to file it and if you get turned down they will step in. They don't put as much time into the case that way. Attorneys are also capped at how much they can make from your case so that is another reason they do not care to step in. Please email me and I can tell you a whole lot more about it! Both my husband and I are disabled so if you need to know anything I would be glad to help!

If he is trying to get disabiilty benefits or something similar, there are lawyers who work on a contingency basis--meaning they will take the case and only charge if they win. They usually take 1/3 of the initial payment, which for government disability would be about 1/3 of $6,000. Of course, they will only do it this way if they think they have a good chance of winning. Look in the yellow pages under lawyers.

Ask legal counsel to the Epilepsy Foundation of America.
Plus any legal problems that epileptic may have due to there illnesses, discrimination, including some cases when insurance coverage is difficult to obtain.

Contact the STATE COURT office in your district for legal support.
Although I would recommend to write to the BAR ASSOCIATION to obtain information about pro-bono legal services from reputable lawyers.
