ahahahaha. i CANNOT believe how underrated Queen is. of course metallica, sabbath, pink floyd, ac/dc, and bon jovi are up at the top, but you have to listen to Bohemian Rhapsody. it's the greatest song ever created ^.^ if not, go ahead and listen to the classics :] or... if you're into modern... listen to papa roach, linkin park, disturbed, slipknot, soad, and stuff like that. NEVERRRR listen to mcr, fall out boy, and panic! at the disco... i'm sooo sorry for those who are offended... but that's crap :]

If you like fast rock with amazing electric guitar, you could try instrumental gems from artists like....
Joe Satriani - Surfing With The Alien (play it loud!!!), Summer Song (play it loud!!!!), Back To Shall-Bal (play it loud!!!!!)Motorcycle Driver, Speed Of Light, Lords of Karma, One Big Rush.
Vinnie Moore - Watching From the Light (great instrumental inspired from the passing of his Father), Let's Go (fun)
Michael Lee Firkins - Laughing Stacks.
Just a few great instrumental rock tunes that I feel have some great musical quality. The majority of today's "artists" are worthless musically in comparison.
Good day,
TCL

I'd say you listen to some prog.... like Pink Floyd or one of the underrated bands of all time: "Coheed and Cambria". One song in particular is "The Suffering".
If you're in a rock out mode listen to Nirvana. Still the best headbanger band out there, even though their lyrics seem to be nonsense. Listen to "Aneurysm", "Lithium", and one of the best rock songs ever: "Smells Like Teen Spirit".
Personally I also like to listen to some songs by The White Stripes. "Fell in love with a girl" is a nice catchy song. "Seven Nation Army" is an all-time favorite.
