Walmart is a cancer that is killing the working class. Walmart has led the way lowering the standard of living for everyone connected to it. One example is Rubbermaid one of the leading U.S.manufacturers in the 1990s. Walmart dictated to Rubbermaid how much it would pay for products-Rubbermaid had no choice, since Walmart was its number one customer, it closed U.S. plants and sent the jobs to China to sweatshop workers with no rights. Then there is the anti-union stance of Walmart which allows it to continue paying its Walmart store workers the lowest salary in the industry an average of $17,000 a year with unaffordable healthcare offered.

It is the mall for lower class too, apparently.
You want to be entertained by watching inbreeding at it's worst?
Go to Wal-Mart at 9pm.
Bring a snack

Not just for middle class. I think it attracts a large population from lower class too. People without a lot of money are going to look for the cheapest prices. And Wal-Mart has that.

I work there, and I'm considered middle class and I don't like going there, and I would not say middle class, I would say lower class, blue collar, old people, poor people, and the majority of customers are Hispanic. Very few people who come can count change, speak English, have little to no education, or can figure out how a credit card works.

No. I consider myself low/middle class, and I love to shop at Walmart because of the low prices. I'm not a rich person, and being on a budget, you have to watch your money. I mean, I can afford things, and I have bills also. My husband works full time, and I work part time. We live in a rural setting.
I clip coupons and shop around for the best prices. Usually, Walmart has the lowest prices for the things that I buy most like food, socks, underwear, you know, basics, plus other things.
I DO shop at a MALL. I buy things at malls and other stores as well. I just prefer Walmart, or my local grocery store for food items, and I shop at other places when I am looking for something different.
What's wrong with shopping at Walmart? Do you consider me "POOR" because I shop there???? Are you rich enough to buy better things???
I can buy a pair of panties at Victoria's Secret for $6, or get a pack of Hanes at Walmart for the same price. I get more for my money. Don't get me wrong, I have many pairs of panties from Victoria's Secret, but do you know what I'm saying???
Most people around here would prefer to get more for their money. I don't live in a big city, we are just plain ol country people.
Why should we spend more of our hard earned money on everything that is name brand, or the hottest trend, when we can get buy what we need and can afford, for a better price.
I'm happy and content with my life, and shopping at Walmart.
** I also worked at Walmart for a few years during college!!
I hope this sheds some light on the subject of your question!!!!
Have a great day!!!
