I do, because I just got braces so I can't bite my nails, so I bite my lip instead, and that hurts them, so i lick my lips. I know it's a really bad habbit, and it drys them out, but i can't help it

yes- because they are dry. the irony is that i know it makes them worse- but when i have no lip balm available i lick them.
ps- i hate it when people lick their lips before giving a kiss. it grosses me out!

the only reason i'll lick my lips are if they are dry and i need to wet them before putting on lipgloss or chapstick or after i finish eating.

yeah. i lick them when they are dry. Although it makes them more dry.So most of the time i use lip balm

To get food or beverages, that may be on them, off... to taste my girlfriend's lip gloss or lipstick or whatever after she kisses me... otherwise I try to not lick them, or they get sore and dry.

Sometimes because they feel dry or there is a little bit of ice cream there and I can't waste any of it! It tastes too good!

Only when I can't find my lipgloss or chapstick. And it is really annoying because once you do you can't stop until you find something else to put on them!
