It depends on the laws on the State you work in, if there are any; there are no Federal laws against working 7 days a week indefinitely.

Depending on the state your in...but most full time employees are on a 5/40 workweek with a handful of flextime workers deriving from that.
However, part time employees as long as they stay under the part time threshold can be worked 7 days a week if the employer feels it necessary. 5 days at 4 hours a day is the same as 7 days at 3 hours a day. As long as the employee doesn't breach the allotted time of a part time employee he can schedule the time however they feel fit.
If it is 8 hour shifts and you are working 7 days a week make sure you are being paid the correct amount of overtime. Also confirm that your job is atwill employment which means if you don;t like it you are free to leave or vise versa.

Depends on what state you live in,, I know some states, Have a 6 day law, and you are required to sign a statement saying you are willing to override and work the following day, BUT<< Some jobs, and most,, Do not have a set time,, AS long as they are paying you overtime for the over 40 hours you have worked, They can work you as much as they want,,

It is better that an employee should habituate to work all the days except for his personal and family function days. This will perhaps make him to do some service to the nation as well as to gain his mental peace. Rules are something different and thinking of the Unions are also different in this regard.

As many as you want as long as you are getting paid overtime or are in a salaried position. I don't know that there is a limit on how many days in a row an employer can make you work as long as the above conditions are being met.

def. depends on where u work, and who u work for

i read an article on how some employers are "too" nice, not letting go even the worse of workers

and of course, u have ur "mr.scrooge"s that are not as humane

altho on average i think, prob. a week, provided you have some excuse

oops... i just reread ur question

oh, then it depends on the person, and the situation and job
certainly, sweatshop workers work insane hours (i pity them)... many workers often do double shifts

well it depends on your age or if you're in school. it depends on many factors. I once worked 9 nights in a row before going on a vacation so I dont know legality or not but I didnt mind it because I was going on vacation.

If you agree to work more than the normal then its not the employers fault. Did this person sign a contract? Your question varies with the actual situation.

I believe that in the US, you must have at least one day off in seven. Your employer cannot require you to work more than that, although many people do do more than that to get overtime, or because it is crunch time.
