Generally, all band's have albums that for whatever reason, seem to fall off the radar with fans(IE Pink Floyd's The Final Cut).

I LOVE questions like this....I could spend hours adding to this list, like I'm sure lots of other people could. It gets me thinking about old songs, then heading to the basement to fire up the turntable!

Atom Heart Mother by Pink Floyd... not sure if you would count Meddle, too, because a lot of people seem to know about it!

Personally, I thought The Final Cut was utter, sheer, and upmost Roger Whine (R) at its finest.

Roger Whine (R): When you have to have just a little insane angst in your music! Take only as directed by your local CD shop cashier. Warning: In case of overdose, listen to works composed by Syd Barrett or hug a puppy. Side effects include: becoming emo, hating the world, wishing your dad was dead just so you can whine, and the sudden urge to kill a great guitarist. Do not make Father's Day cards while taking Roger Whine (R). Roger Whine (R) is highly addictive to some people.

Unfortunately, I'm allergic to large amounts of Roger Whine (R). I have to have something mellow!

Great question, I have always loved The Hunter by Blondie. Few fans like it and iTunes even called it a "forgettable farewell", I disagree. The band was on the edge of breaking up when they recorded the album, but it is still amazing. The songs are much deeper and darker than their usual music and that is why I love it. I will not forget this album and it is a shame so many people have.

Rainbow's Stranger In us All (Great album after the rather soft rock albums with Joe Lynn Turner. This was Ritchie's last rock album before he turned to folk music)

Black Sabbath's Eternal Idol (best Sab album with Tony Martin)

Kiss - Creatures of The Night, Lick It Up and Carnival of Souls
(albums rarely mentioned when talking abt Kisstory.

Uriah Heep - High and Mighty (last album made with the late David Byron and one of Heep's better efforts in their vast repertoire)

Most of the people I know who listen to Floyd generally foget about Obscured By Clouds but I love it so much, Mudmen is such a lovely song and so are many of their other songs on the album, most most people don't even remeber it. (maybe cause it came right before Dark Side of the Moon)

know what your saying,i had a great collection of vinyl albums
complete floyd, barclay james harvest, etc even had great spin-offs and whilst updating to CD i have to prioritise so some albums are at the bottom of the list and some are imposible to find eg. UNICORN group produced by Gilmour.
now have no record player and all the vinyl that took me years to find is being sold to fund replacement.

"(Music From) The Elder" by KISS. Even the band hated that album, but i thought it was creative that they actually had the balls enough to try an album that flows like a story and could show that these guys really can sing.

Alice Cooper-The Last Temptaton and Brutal Planet (they are every bit as good as his classic 70's material)
Deep Purple-Perfect Strangers (may be their best album ever, but it came out in the 80's)
Billy Idol-Devil's Playground (great album)
Dio-Magica
Warrant-Dog Eat Dog (their best album)
Ted Nugent-Spirit of the Wild
Black Sabbath-Heaven and Hell (better than the Ozzy material)
