I have difficulty finding mens dress shirts that fit me well. I have a very thin body around my abdomen and chest. My neck is actually not as thin. I need about a 16 1/2 inch neck, but dress shirts with that dimension are way too big in the body. A 15 1/2 and 16 neck fits my body much better but the neck is too tight to be able to wear a tie. Since dress shirts are sold by neck size, I don't know what to buy. Do I buy the right neck size and I can comfortably wear a tie or a smaller neck size to fit my body better but it suffocates me when I wear a tie?

Buy a shirt that fits your neck size.

Take it to a tailor to have it taken in. It's easier & cheaper to take the shirt in than alter the collar size.

BTW, H & M & www.landsend.com carry slim/tailored fit shirts that may suit your build.

Take your measurements, Bust , Waist an Hips. Then seek for advice from the Sizing handbook from the save or internet site from the place you're buying. SIZES never RUN a similar. that is solid to get acquainted with some shops which you like so as which you already know how their issues run. i'm a 4 particularly plenty around the Board yet with the Junior clothing, I on occasion take a 5 or 7 Jean if i elect them to be loose. ANGELS run very very small (the denims -- bypass 2 sizes up !!) and Victoria's secret runs an entire sie smaller than that is sister business enterprise Spiegel...i'm a 4 at Speigel and 6 at VS. additionally evaluate the textile..leather-based Coats and Jackets run smaller. some shops like Penney's, Kohl's and massive apple and CO have their very own manufacturers like Apt 9 and Daisy Fuentes and ANA (a clean attitude/JCPENNEY) and those are sized generously. make particular you wash your denims in chilly water or they're going to decrease in the inseam and the legs substitute into way short. desire I helped you.

It may seen difficult to find a shirt your size, but large department store can find them for your. Best thing I can recommend that you do is; buy shirts that fit your neck size and have then tailored. Many stores offer tailoring services. What they would have to do is bring-in the side seams. If it's a shirt that you plan wearing untucked I would recommend altering the length as well so that it won't look like tube shirt. But trust me, shop around and you'll find the right size.
