Thankfully, he'll be out of office Jan. 20, 1009; election is November 2008; new President takes office Jan. 20, 2009. Bush cannot run again, having been in office the maximum of two 4-year terms.

President in the US is elected for a four year term and can be reelected only once. Thus, President Bush is no longer qualified to be run as President since he already ruled USA for eight years upon the end of his current term in 2008.

George Bush will end his term in 2008. Thank God! There will be an election in 2008 and this is an interesting one seeing the USA could have the first black president or the first woman president. Whoever wins serves for 1 term( 4 years) they can decide to run again but they have to go through a election again and the american people vote to see who will make the better president. A president can only serve for 8 years( 2 terms) and he cannot run again. I dont think the president rules the USA. He is an inportant person seeing he's the president but he dosent do it alone he has the help of all his people and congress.

he's allowed to stay in office for a 4 year term, then a new election can start, canadites can include the current presedent at this time, but if he succesfully rules for another 4 year term, thats it for him. he is no longer allowed to run.
