Seeing as I tore my MCL and ACL, I advise you to research your options. If you play sports that include pivoting, jumping and/or quick stops, then I would advise you to look into surgery. If you're into long distance running, or swimming then probably not. I had my surgery and missed two and half months of school. I got an infection as well as a blood clot and developed a keloid where they removed my petellor tendon (sp)
My mum's into researching everything before hand, and yet she still didn't spot something like this happening. So no, there's really no other options than surgery, or wearing a containing brace everytime you run, or w.e you do. you can get the brace from a physical therapist or even an orthopedic.

Good luck

There is a possibility that you can do some specific strengthening exercises to help support the knee, But if your ligiment is torn it will limit your extreme activity. If you play any kind of physical sport you should get the surgery. If you just want to do casual activity( bike riding, hiking) then you should just try to find a good fitness trainer and strengthen it.

Do the surgical operation guy. Then have a fish fry as quickly as you're healed. And ask all your coworkers in the event that they are coming to the fish fry earlier you even tell them. Then whilst they ask what fish fry you say the single the place I positioned my meat on your grill Hallelujah holla returned

HELLO,

IF THIS DOCTOR HAPPENS TO BE AN ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON HE WILL MOST LIKELY NEED TO DO SURGERY. LIGAMENTS ARE CONECTED TO BONE AND TO MUSCLE. AN OPERATION MAY BE THE ONLY MEANS TO REPAIR THE DAMAGE. GOOD LUCK.
