I would have to disagree. Love is independant of yourself and a love of yourself. It is something give without thought to ones self or sense of love. It is a realization of another and thus independant of self

I think people who don't have a full measure of respect for themselves are going to have a tough time sustaining a healthy, loving partnership. People with a sense of inadequacy or strong feelings of guilt usually end up projecting these things onto their partners.
