Why must there be a why? If I told you that humans were mere accidents of nature, would that shock you? Sadden you? It shouldn't, though. The fact that humans have no pre-determined purpose laid out before us means that we have that glorious thing called FREE WILL. Your life is yours to do with as you please. Your "purpose" in life is for you to discover, or create, for yourself.
Humans are quite a self-centered species. We want to think that the universe is here for our benefit, and that there's a reason for our existence. And yet if a global pandemic wiped out the entire human race tomorrow, then Earth and all the rest of the universe would still keep on running on the same natural laws it runs on now. For hundreds of millions of years to come, flowers would continue to bloom unappreciated by human eyes, continents would drift around the globe, and the moon would continue to circle our world.
Humans really aren't very special in the big picture of things. We're still quite a primitive, barbaric and immature race, whose thinking often gets stuck in ideological ruts and our rationality is forgotten in the face of our emotions. We may be the highest forms of life on this particular planet, but that's not to say we don't have a LOT of room for improvement. As such, there is simply no way I can see any "Providence" in our creation or existence.
This short, frail life is all you have, so make the most of it. Keep learning, seek out new experiences, and never lose your sense of curiosity.

No one knows the answer to this/ there is no ONE right answer.
The purpose of living is to live. There is no definite reason for humanity other than "we are here". One may say that our purpose is to understand the universe around us. Another person may say that our purpose is to love another and procreate. There are so many possible reasons for humanity; in the end, however, our existence is our reason and our purpose.
As for what we have to do with the universe...
We are the product of the universe. We are made from elements that were created by the stars through nuclear fusion. If someone actually knew the reason for life, they would have to be either God (if there is a God) or well...... I guess only God would know. Only a deity could give life a definite reason. Without a creating force, we must just see it as a natural evolution from inanimate to living.

It this were a religious question I would say that it is because God had a plan long before he ever created the universe in much the same way a designer or planner has one for building a new house or new building or park etc.
But to answer that question it is best understood when to realize that God is love. And love is a creative force and power. And his love was to create a universe to create beings, to live on a planet earth, that would share in his love in the same way a baby is born and grows up to share in his family's love.
That's the simplest answer I have to explain why the universe is here and why man is here on this earth.

At certain circumstances and reasons, certain things will form. Example, when there are water, air and sunlight, human appeared. The cycle between born than die is to make human stronger to adopt with the environment. Just take the human million years ago compare to now, the transformation have enable human to adopt to the environmental change.

Human beings, while living, produce specific types of energies which higher beings feed off of and need to survive. All within our "human experience" that can be enjoyed, learned, imagined etc are simply side effects to be or possibly be things which enhance our time here. Our reproduction is key for this cycle to be perpetual.

We are here to learn lessons, dissolve karma and develop spiritually so that we don't need any more incarnations. According to Egyptian mythology your heart must be as light as a feather to enter heaven. We can transmute base energies into higher ones and become a light being. This planet is a school for lost souls to find their way back to the light. If we keep our minds on higher things we can free ourselves from bondage to matter. Unless you like bondage, then you'll come back as a Tantrist and transmute those worldly desires into spirit.

Does it really matter why? As long as we are good people and try to leave this earth better than it was before us, then we did what we should do. That can be in the smallest of ways.
