Mexico is an independent country. It has it's own president and legal system. It is true that the government and police have been accused of corruption and drugs are rampant, but they are not a colony or a commonwealth of any other nation.

The rich,powerful,and corrupt leaders arein control.Mexico is a nation (like USA,Russia,Cuba,UK,etc.)
