Mermaids- (Not the one with Cher)
Stars Erika Heynatz, Sarah Laine, & Nikita Ager. It is about 3 very different mermaid sisters who team up to figure out who killed their father. It's a little corny, but if you like mermaids, you'll probably enjoy it anyway.

There's also a horror/suspense movie that I've seen on the SciFi channel called She Creature, I think. It's about people who catch a mermaid for a circus type show and she takes revenge on them.

Yes, as Frightfilmman suggests, Mr. Peabody & The Mermaid is an excellent film. I had quite forgotten about that one. Definitely check it out, if you can find it.

...if you're perhaps savvy on watching classic films, you might just want to check out a little ditty from 1948, entitled "Mr. Peabody and the Mermaid"; in a plot very similar to "Splash", but predating it several years, an insecure middle-aged man (William Powell), vacationing with his wife, and fishing in the vicinity of a local bay, reels in a mermaid. Naturally, he takes her home, hides her, and she falls in love with him, much to the dismay of the man's wife, who is utterly convinced that he has nothing but a fish in the bathroom!!!

...very delightful and comical film fare, here; unfortunately, the film has yet to see release on DVD, and the VHS tape is very hard to find. Keep an eye out on Turner Classic Movies; they DO play it, once in a while...
