Maybe its because I'm going through depression or something, but i'm not interested in the things I used to be. What should I do?

I've been so hooked on splatter painting lately, it involves no thinking and it's definitely fun and messy..perks you right up

hmm I also like to make magnets by finding random things I'd like to stick on my fridge and attaching magnets to them...things like a small drawing, a bottle cap, a small paper collage and more..it's easy fun and decorative.

I'm not sure that a hobby is going to help if you truly are depressed, but if it's just boredom I might have a few ideas.

Try something creative - make jewelry, take up embroidery and gussy up your old jeans and t-shirts, dig up a patch of earth in the backyard and start a vegetable garden (perfect time for it right now), find a new way to stay in shape like karate or roller-blading.

Any of these at all interesting to you?

My husband got me interested in something a few years back that sounds like it wouldn't be a "girl's sport," but it's fun--model rocketry. He's been doing it since the 1960's. Start with a small Level 1 kit--called "Launchables" by Estes (at Wal-Mart, or you can get more variety at any craft/hobby shop, or at jonrocket.com (you can get ready-to-fly kits, but you don't get as much satisfaction out of them as building one yourself). Once you have built your rocket, get a launcher or find a model rocketry club nearby. There's nothing more incredible than seeing something you built with your own two hands going shooting up in the sky in a puff of smoke!

make jewelry, now you have to decide what method you want to try, beaded, hemp, wire, etc, then you start looking for supplies, Joanns, Michaels, Hobby Lobby, local bead shops etc. now you need ideas, michaels and joanns often have fliers in the store with ideas, there are tons of books and magazines for jewelry, and about.com has instructions on several kinds of beading, and elainecrafts.com has basics on tieing hemp jewelry, its endless, ive been doing it for 30 years or more.

Learn chess, and find some people to play against. I bet you meet a different kind of guy than you usually hang with.
