I'm personally not a fan of Green Day and I never have been, but there are plenty of people that love them that definitely aren't in the 'social suicide' zone... But there's this thing with people that like punk music. Half of them say that Green Day is awesome, and the other half say that they're just a bunch of punk posers that are trying to be cool.
But hey, if you like them, then you like them, and you really can't change what you like!

No it's not social suicide! Green Day is great! I'm a 35 year old fella. I am a Dead Head (Grateful Dead Fan). Eveyone's taste in music is different. Who cares what others think of your music taste. My son is 10. He loves Green Day. Of course he is most familiar with their more recent stuff. I am a big fan of DOOKIE! Great ALBUM (That's what we used to call CD's!) LOL! Antway, if you like them ~ Listen to them! Who cares ? Do you have a MySpace? I have about 100 or so Bands/Artists on my FRIENDS list. All types of music! Look me up! btsolove@mac.com!

honestly, "cool" bands fade in and out so much, u have to see wut the current "fad" is. who cares if u like green day though, and if ur gonna be slandered for it, dont let people know. But there really isn't anything wrong with liking Green Day. It was a fas at my school for a while anyway. Lol, not anymore. But all the places are different ya know, so it depends on where you are too.

Wow. If you like Green Day, you like Green Day. Are you really not gonna like them because a few people out there might think you're "uncool"? I think they rock. They made a total come back with their Jesus of Suburbia album. Whatever, please don't let the people around you influence you so much that you would actually change who you are so they would think you're cool!

Who cares if they're "cool." music is a form of self-expression. If you like them, go for it, even if they aren't "cool". Screw what the rest of the world thinks and be you. I love them, and there's no way that you can be an idiot for liking your music. If anyone tells you differently, you need a new set of friends, who don't care about what the public thinks.

No. their really good. They're my favorite band. It's not suicide because whatever you like nobody else has to like it. If you like Green Day that's you. Not anybody else. So if anybody says I can't belive you like them say ''o well, then i guess you're left not beliving while I'm rocking'' `cause it doesn't reaally make sense but it will leave them spechless!

They are one of the most popular bands of today, I know a lot of people who love Green Day, they are an awesome band in my opinion. If you have seen the videos when they are on tour there are thousands upon thousands of people there.
