And for that matter why would a decent reporter pose any question involving that topic? Has this country really stooped this low? Why not ask what color thier stool comes out? I would have more respect for one who admits that thier poop is light brown and floats in the toliet than anyone who brags about believing in any religion....

True, true. Although I would suggest lack of fiber and iron deficiency and recommend lots of spinach and red meat in that case . . . .it would certainly be more pertinent than any religious protestations.

They are "vote hunting". In the past, they used to kiss babies, feed the hungry, help the needy, etc. All of that part of their political campaign strategy.

Now they use religion. But after they win and take their Oath of Office, they will forget all about their religious beliefs, and will begin to worship themselves and the mighty US Dollar.

Well, hopefully, a person who is devoted to his or her religion would also have a set of values, ethics, and morals comparable with their religious beliefs. For instance, if you are worried about women's or gay's rights, then, regardless of party affiliation, you would want to know if someone is a muslim.

Besides, shouldn't the person who represents you in government represent you, or at least the majority of voters in your district?
