Not really and in some states it is actually on the books as being illegal. Personally if you cant stay faithful then you need not to be in a relationship.

No one is EVER justified in cheating. When you marry, you make a PROMISE to stick it out, for better or worse and to remain faithful. Regardless of what your spouse does, retalitory sex is NEVER justified. If the husband REALLY wanted the wife back, he had a funny way of showing it by sleeping with another woman. Any chance he had at getting his wife back is now GONE. So, unless there is some MASSIVE amounts of forgiveness here, he's pretty much out of the picture. Get the divorce, get some counseling and get on with life. Don't make the same stupid mistake again.

I would be against it for a variety of reasons. Some people have open relationships where sexual activity outside of the relationship is allowed, if certain rules are obeyed. If a monogamous marriage or civil union is on the rocks, it is not unusual for sexual infidelity to be among the signs. Disrupting a family further by jailing an offender does nothing to aid the marriage, but instead effectively ends it as a state decision rather than the decision of the couple.
In other words, BAD IDEA!

Adultery is already against the UCMJ (US military laws). I found that out while in the Army & it kinda shocked me. Then again, the UCMJ also forbids homosexual conduct and sodomy (to the point of saying there's only one position you can use!)
I can't see such laws going over well if they were put into place in the civilian world. I mean, yes adultery is wrong, but some people have open marriages and that's their business.

There is a law already. God's law, as handed down in the Ten Commandments.

Against, it's too much.
There's already repercussions, and those don't stop people. Maybe people should fix their relationships, instead of looking to the law to keep an unhappy marriage together by force.

How can anyone decide for someone else that there relationship should never end.Or even you they should love and not love.It hurts when it happens but there is always a reason for this you just need to open your eyes and see it.
no there should never be a law like this. And as far as the military go its all about control.

Against it. That is against our rights. Every situation is different in it's own way, and sometimes things like that happen. It is not up to the rest of us to decide if they were right or wrong.

There is a law. It's called alienation of affection. If you're the "other woman" (or man), and your partner is married, you could have your butt hauled into court if they file for divorce. Better beware or you could be sued.
