Maybe he was tired of all the criticims he recieve for /not/ doing so, as the Iraq Study Group recomended? Or maybe he knows he has a better chance getting some help from Iran than from a Democrat-controlled Congress?

It's not that drastic...
But I think he's just losing steam... I mean look at how fast his hair has grayed....
