Honestly -- I'd rather it be tested on something living than to just be released to the public and possibly cause a lot of problems. I know a lot of people don't agree with that, but until they can replicate human skin on a non-living thing... well, whatever. I just don't pay attention to the labels I buy, but I'm 99% sure that all of the stuff I use doesn't use animal testing. But that makes me wonder - what kind of testing do they do?

though i do feel bad for the animals you have to think, what would happen if they were testing these products on people. yes it sucks but would anyone really want to be a test subject and have a horrible possibly deadly reaction because the product was put out on the market and knowone knew what would happen. yes a helpless rat may have died but it did at the cost a many other humans. i think animal testing is the lesser of two evils.

I do check PETA's website for cruelty-free products and manufacturers, and I was really dismayed to find that my favorite makeup company (Lancome) tests on animals. I haven't purchased Lancome since then, but that doesn't mean I might not in the future. I try to purchase good products without being a fanatic, and Lancome is a French company, so they don't care what I think anyway.

I am against it! I only wear makeup that isn't tested on animals. It's not hard at all. People think that if products aren't tested on animals they'll be tested on humans and that's not true! Humans are just not used as guinea pigs.

I don't agree with it. I don't care about rats, but just picture some lab using your poor little fluffy or fido for makeup testing; spraying purfume in his eyes or making him ingest mascara. That's the type of crap they do, all for the purpose of seeing how many unhealthy ingredients they can put in makeup without getting in trouble for endangering our health. I'm no animal rights freak but it seems a little unneccessary. I say we support animal health as well as our own by using natural mineral makeup.

I think that that is HORRIBLE!!! People shouldn't test anything on animals. Just because they're not people! That gives no one any right to harm any animal.
