Now my painted tetra are getting weird white things along the very tip of their top and bottom fins. Very fine lines of white, parallel with the tip of the fins, right along the tip of the fins. I looekd up some fish diseases and no pictures came up that looked like this. One also has what looks like a blotch of mucus or something on the base of their top fin. It goes from the bottom of the fin down onto the body, you could say it overlaps both parts a little at the point where the parts connect. I don't know if I should drop some Quick Cure in there or not, or if the white lines are just natural even, so please help me, and thank you.

I would suggest this is most likely a fungus. Quick Sure wouldn't be my treatment of choice, I would rather see you wait until you can get to the pet store (hopefully in the next 24 hours) and pick up some type of fungus medication. Most work quite well and should clear up the problem in just a few days. If this doesn't do it in a few days, you may have a protozoan infestation which could be treated with Quick Cure or with a product like Clout or Paracide.

It's hard to really figure it out from just text. Could be body fungus, if lines on the fins then could be from stress or something? (though I think that's usually red streaks on most fish). If it looks like strings on the fish with an irritated spot where they attach (and if fish seem itchy), then that's probably anchor worm.

I would research extensively online for a bit to see if you can match up anything and at least find out the name for it, that way you have a better chance of knowing what treatment should be.

could be a fungus, parasites, ick.
You can take one of your fish to a fish store and they should be able to diagnose the fish and sell you the appropriate medicine, OR let you know if it is natural and you don't need to do anything. treating an animal, even just a fish, when you don't know what you're treating is very bad. Take one of the fish in question to the fish store and find out what you need to do.
