There are soooooo very many other children getting abducted and we have the nerve to focus on just ONE child. This is SICKENING! The press is all over this hoopla and they don't care about anyone else! AAAAARGHH! It's not fair and it makes me ANGRY!!!

News outlets and their "powers that be" choose to report the child disappearances that have the most potential to bring in viewers, and they hype it up as much as they can. Cute little white children from well-to-do families get the most attention because the press feels that these children are the ones audiences will feel sorry for and want to watch. In addition, about 2,000 children go missing every day in America, so it's impossible to feature all of them. Yes, it's unfair, but life is unfair in just about every respect anyway.

Yes it's true there are many other children who are abducted. However like Elizabeth Smart, Jon-Benet Ramsey, Polly Klass and others, this one tugs at you.

The more press this generates , hopefully if the child is still alive , the kidnappers will return her or leave her where the police or searchers can find her.

With the amount of money being offered I'm sure someone who knows something, will get greedy for the money and tell the police who did it and where, and when to find her.

You would think the news agencies would be able to cover all the stories of the missing children for the day. that would make sense instead of focusing on one, they really do need to change their way of presenting the news instead of singling out like they do and having us wait until they decide who gets air time next. You make a good point, but my money doesn't pay the kind of bills they have, they must depend on advertisements.

Too bad for you. If you don't want to watch any of it or listen to any more of the coverage..just put in a DVD.

TV News Stations and journalists live by the motto..IF IT BLEEDS IT LEADS..

thats top news and its breaking news and upcoming developments are first item on the agenda of news coverage for any newscast..6 o clock, 11 o'clock and so on.

Either watch it or put in a dvd.
