The GeForce 7300 is a low budget, slow video card. Because of this, it can play Jade Empire or Oblivion on it. But don't expect playable speeds (Playable for me is a consistent 30FPS.) especially if you will set all the graphical settings at the highest level.
The video card itself is slightly faster than the ATI Radeon X300. The performance difference is somewhere around 10-20%, not to mention the 7300 supports Direct X9c while the X300 support only Direct X 9b.

This really depends on how picky of a gamer you are...
I myself freak out if I cant get decent framerates...
then there is the budget factor...
personally - I would say no and if you plan to pickup a budget
Nvidia GFX card - wait until the 8000 series of chips have a budget model (not the 8800 which minimum is around $300).
Eventually they will restrict the 8k series budget Gfx card line and you'll want to hit the market then.
Also - ask yourself if your motherboard has an AGP slot...
if that's the case then the upgrade issue becomes stronger also.... PCI-Xpress is where the market is headed - APG is on it's way out.
If you have the AGP interface for video - consider picking up one of the ATI X8xx series or Nvidia 7800/7900 series - they are great AGP and probably the best that AGP will ever get.
Amanda rules - haha

It depends on the suffix. A 7300GT GDDR3 is good, but a 7300LE, SE, or GS sucks. You should be able to play those games just fine with that card, depending on the resolution. The X300 is a last-gen part and is slower than the 7300.

The 7300GT ddr3 is a pretty decent budget card. It could run many new games at lower settings except the MOST demanding like Oblivion. Better get at least the 7900GS or X1950 Pro. The NEW 8600GT may also work but do not expect high settings.

No way lag city! Oblivion needs at least 256mb dedicated to video card and no less then 3.0Ghz Processor w/1gb+ memory to run smoothly. Dont look to walmart for the video card you really need check out ebay or clubit.com for 50 bucks more you can get a really good card, make sure you get it with DVI too!

here's a link with different benchmarks for a bunch of video cards. I hope this helps you out. http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphics.html
After looking at the link the 7300 will give you really bad FPS. Use the chart to compare the different cards.
