Gorilla Glue is good though brownish and foamy. I prefer it for joining wood. Wipe a little water on one side and do wear latex gloves! Brown stains will not wash off your hands. I don't trust the super glues for long term assemblies.
I recommend: 2 part epoxies come clear, white and some colors, 5 minute and slower setting, from runny to thick like putty. JB Weld or JB Kwik is very strong and permanent in dark gray. For some flexibility, silicone sealant can be used and I've just discovered Ultra Flex adhesive by 3M. It's a clear, 2 part urethane formula mixed like epoxy.
Be sure that your glass and metal are clean which ever glue you use. Also be mindful that glass and metal will expand-contract at different rates so a rigid connection could cause breakage in certain cases, i.e. a largish pane of glass glued to a rigid metal frame and exposed to the sun's heat. Good luck.
