Is the U.S. the only continent that has tornadoes?

I need to inform you that the US is not a continent. USA is in North American and while there are a great number of tornadoes in the midwest, you will find that not only are tornadoes found elsewhere in North America (Canada for instance), but all over the world. A tornado is simply the result of hot and cold air colliding to create a destructive force.

Interesting question. There are tornado like phenomena in other places in the world in the category of cyclones (especially in the southern hemisphere) of which tornadoes are a subclass. Most tornadoes as I understand happen in the center and southeast of the US, but they also occur much less frequently in Africa, South America and Australia/New Zealand.
