People mislead other primarily because they are frightened of what would happen if they didn't. Sorry if you've run into to these scared people. There are those who do not behave in similar ways, but it may be that you have accumulated friends who are not very self-assured. Do your best to be as honest as possible, lest you become one of the "fake people" you are concerned about.

seriously though? I don't know.
I consider myself once "fake" as in I hid who I was sexually by having a boyfriend. I know that I am attracted to women and don't have to hide who I am anymore.
Very vague question. I wonder why you ask this and who you think of as fake or what qualities determine this.

hey girl,
it's not that there are so many fake people! sadly I think it's that there are to many choices today that people try to compensate for there lack of being able to have it all. so we build miss truths about are lives. so often that they become so much about who we want to be and cloud the truth, in turn become lies and as we all know it's harder to remember are lies than are truths, thus we appear to be fakes.

cause they are assholes!! i am sorry but it's true...people use the easy way out and it is easier to be someone else than to be yourself. sad but true
