Go for it, you have more of a chance of making money than going to college (it's a waste of money, I speak from experience).

While the state licensing board only requires a HS diploma or its equivalent, some real estate offices require a college degree. I'm sure you will have no problem finding an office to hire you without, especially if you have a background in sales and the right attitude for the job.

RE is 100% commission based, and there will be alot of upfront costs (the classes, the test, business cards, signs, etc.,etc.) so make sure you are prepared for that.

California doesn't even require a HS diploma. Just need to be over 18 and pass the classes and state exam. Oh yeah, you can't be a convicted criminal either.

Even though licensing doesn't require a degree, a college degree is a good thing. Maybe your real estate sales will pay for you to take night classes and you can do both!

Florida licensing requirements are here: http://www.state.fl.us/dbpr/re/frec_licensing_requirements.shtml

Good luck!

He's right you too can get a Realtors license to sell Real Estate properties in your state, county and city. You can market real estate properties and make pretty good commissions in this field if you are a proactive sales professional and you align yourself with a reprutable RE Office or Firm so go for it! GOOD LUCK! :-)

There are licensing classes to take, which are typically through area colleges and a test to pass (plus fees for the license, classes, etc.), but a college degree is not a requirement.

Yes. You do not need a college degree. You will have to take a number of realestate courses and pass a state liscense exam to get it.
