More than a second season:
NBC had their Upfronts today, where they announced the official lineup for the fall season, and not only is "Heroes" coming back for the 2007-2008 season, they have expanded the order (to 24) and ordered a spin-off second series called "Heroes: Origins," a limited run six-episode drama that will introduce a new character each week and incorporate an online element that will allow "Heroes" fans to vote on which of the six new characters on "Origins" will be added to the original series.
There will be 30 new episodes, including the "Origins" episodes for Season Two.

I hope so, I do think it's been renewed for a new year. The ratings have been through the roof. I'm getting ready to watch it right now.
