Underwear. My mom bought TONS of underwear for me for Christmas...it was pretty bad. It probably would have been okay if it was just white but I got NEON colors and weird designs that made me dizzy if I looked at them to long.>.< I still get nightmares...

A chipped bowl from my grandmother, that my father had thrown away and she had dug out of the trash. So, it actually matched the china set my mother had, because it was from that set. I still have it on display in my home. I tell people "See I really do know the cheapest person in the world".

My ex-husband who is a mechanic bought me a MAC Tool jacket and a fishing pole for Christmas one year.
He had no clue that if you could buy it off of the tool truck that came by the shop that it wasn't an appropriate present for your wife.

I wanted a shredder for my birthday and a laminator. I got it and nothing else. I've been married 26yrs, so you would expect him to get me something else. I can't complain cause i'm i'm a fussy person. It's the thought that counts. lol

When I was a kid it was always socks. After my divorce a friend invited me to her parents house. They felt the need to find me something, anything. So I got a little ceramic dish from the attic from the 1960's. I acted thankful, but really, they didn't have to do that.

I recieved a coin with a hole in from an aunt. She had tied a red string to it, with a small wooden spoon.
Not idea why.

My first wife bought me a shirt on sale two sizes two small and a wash cloth for our first xmas. My second wife's family bought me a can of peanuts and I spent like 25 bucks a piece on her family. My son got me a western belt buckle and he knows I hate country and western music.
So I would have to safely say... I prefer no gift than a no thought out gift.

A weight scale for Christmas from my dad
I was totally upset, but I lost a lot of weight
once I realized that I wasn't in a healthy range.
