The bloodline is mostly English,Scottish,German,Danish
The Duke of Edinburgh is Danish -German. He has no Greek blood in him;his family was just given the rule of Greece. At that time no one wanted the job,Phillip's Danish grandfather agreed to take the reign of Greece to oblige the other European Royals. The late Queen Mother was very proud of being born Scottish.Queen Elizabeth II has German ancestry through her great-grandmother,Queen Victoria,as well as English and Scottish ancestry. The Queen's name of Windsor was originally Saxe-Coburg-Gotha,but changed by her grandfather,George V because of anti-German sentiment caused by World War I.

It's the other way around. All the Royals are in one way or another related to the British Royals.

Up until Edward VIII (who abdicated) it was pure GERMAN. However, with Queen Elizabeth's father King George VI and mother, Queen Elizabeth, it became German on her father's side and Scottish on her Mother's. Queen Elizabeth II is 1/2 German and 1/2 Scottish.

When she married Prince Phillip of Greece and Macedonia, HE was German, Danish, Norwegian and so her children then inherited some of that from him (HE WAS NOT GREEK OR MACEDONIAN, even though his Grandfather was the King of Greece - his grandfather was given the Kingship, not born into it).

So, the Royals of Charles, Anne, Edward, etc. are German, Scottish, Danish, etc., and not just German!

Half of European royalty is descended from Queen Victoria in one way or another, after all she had nine children e.g Greek and Danish royal families of which Prince Philip was a member, he and the queen share a great-great grandmother - Queen Victoria.

The Winsor house was orginally the house of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. King George V replaced the German-sounding title with that of Windsor during the First World War.
