I loved being in marching band. I was also in track, cross country, FFA, French Club, Forensics - marching band was the most fun, and I have the best memories from it. People were more accepting within that group than any other I belonged to. It doesn't matter what others think of marching band - at my school we were called "band fags" and any time someone called me that, I told them that I was proud to be one. Band is an opportunity to do something creative and beautiful and moving, and we need more of that for young people. Plus, I was in color guard and during parades we got to smack badly parked cars with our flags. And drunk college students. True story.

individually, I enjoyed marching band. It became into the main relaxing I had for the time of my severe college years. You heavily would not have faith countless the relaxing, loopy issues that flow on in the band. So supply it a brilliant gamble! flow into it seeking to have a solid time and artwork tricky, and you will probable like it. :) And in case you would be in marching band, confident band camp is oftentimes required. this is the place you learn the song and drill to your tutor, and in case you do not flow you will not have any theory what you're doing, because of the fact the 1st soccer video games and competitions oftentimes start up in basic terms some weeks after college starts.

I was first chair in my band,"playing alto sax".When I got to High School we had to march so I quite, cuz I thought I was too cool for that. I'll always regret that because it would have meant a free ride to college and a degree in music. I love music but you cant take back time.

its cool. at my school, the music kids always seemed to be having the most fun, because our sports teams SUUUUUUUUUCCCCKKKKEEEEEEDDDD! and when my ex was in band he would always bring me with to band functions and it was so much fun, they treated me like a member of the family (he went to a differant school). but does it really matter what other people think? your having fun and your learning a lot that you might not learn if you werent in band. enjoy it, youll miss it when its gone.
