25x^2 = -9

take square roots each side

(+/-)5x = 3i (where i is the sqaure root of -1)

so x = +3i/5 or -3i/5

minus 9 in each side
25x^2 = -9
divide 25 in each side
x^2 = -9/25
sqaure root -9/25
x = 3i/5

There is no solution to this equation in the real numbers.
If you allow complex numbers:
x = 3i/5 or x = -3i/5
