The boycott is stupid, there is no differance if I fill up today tomorrow, or when whenever, because eventually I need gas to go to work, pick up kids, ETC. it's called life, left wing nuts. Supply and demand, the Oil companies are gonna get our money eventually, so it makes no differance which day you fill. All you people saying I will fill up today or the 16th what's the differance? Most people don't need gas everyday, most fill up once a week or twice depends on your job and what's going on. If you Nuts want to make a differance than set the example, ride your bike to work, use the T-Train if you have one in your city, Put wind farms on the coast of Cape Cod where I live, to increase energy on our area and less on oil and gas but THE GREAT HYPROCITES LIKE TED KENNEDY, JOHN KERRY AND Liberal buddies don't want that, Let's stop people like Al Gore flying on private Jets. I mean we can do alot so much more and a one day gas out is stupid. The Oil companies will get you eventually it's called supply and demand.

No, for the simple reason that it will do nothing good for the price of gas. the first thing that is going to happen is that everyone will buy more gas today, then no buy gas tomorrow, the same amount of gas will be used, there for the same amount of gas will be bought, it will just be spread out over a few days. so chances are the gas co. will not lose any money. if they do lose money they will simply jack up the prices on us.

I think it is funny, everyone bought gas today instead of tomorrow ,what difference does it make if it was today or tomorrow?, you still bought it. But it would be nice if it worked.

No, think about the message you are saying:

"I am so angry with your pricing policies that I will demonstrate my independence from your product by not buying any tomorrow...by the way, I'll be back later in the week to fill up."

If one boycotts, they should boycott until the desired outcome is accomplished...anything less sends the wrong message...like a drug addict who decides to quit one day, then comes back the next day for another hit.

In theory, if everyone boycotted, it would give them yet another reason to raise their price.

As my brother-in-law pointed out...
Did you know that for every one calorie of certain processed foods that you eat, it takes over 7-10 calories of fossil fuel to get it to your plate (growing, fertilizing, harvesting, packaging, delivery, etc.)? Now you can see why oil = growth under our current system. If this alarms you, support your local farmers and farmers markets and eat whole foods (vs. processed foods). Lobby for a Whole Foods supermarket near your home. Be a smarter shopper.

If using the current logic to boycott gas, you must also boycott processed foods or most corn-based products (this includes most anything on McDonald's menu, sodas with corn-syrup, etc.) It takes more energy to produce these things than the actual food energy it provides.
