We are reading in in English and I don't like it too much so i give it a 2.

The book is hard to understand because it contains language I am not familiar with. If your British though you can probably understand the book better.
I don't like how Golding has the characters talk because he doesn't say who's saying what.
Also I do not like who he merged Sam and Eric (the twins) into Samneric in the book I tought that was one character!

I was confused when we met the Lord of the Flies in the book, weird scene

Also people die in the book and the people that did die didn't deserve to. Well maybe one did deserve it.

1. Yes
2. 8
3. The beginning was boring, like the first chapter where they describe everything; but aside from that it's a good book. Just the whole idea behind the book is very interesting, and it's something people can stop and think about. Whose side would you choose if you were on the island? What if it were your kids; you think they'd end up behaving like Jack?

Also, it's a nice representation of good vs. evil.

1. Yes
2. I'd give it a 9
3. I think it's a very good analogy of good vs. evil. The book is gory and not for the faint of heart. Overall it's a good book for anyone interested in adventure.

It is good, but it isnt for everybody. I remember a lot of people hated it. If youve ever seen the movie `the beach`` that has kind of the same feel to it.

It is a better book if you are interested in the pshycological aspects of isolation- socially-how kids will behave with no rules, and how quickly etiquettes and morals break down when there is no one to govern you.

I absolutely hated reading that book. I will have to say a 3. It has so much symbolism in it. The characters names mean things. They all represent something. Every part of the story symbolizes something else. I will give it that much. I think that other people would like it. I just never did like it.

I'd give it a 9 actually... It's very interesting. We had to read it in high school.. The teacher would assign chapters and I read it all right away. If you haven't read it yet then I won't spoil anything but it's really amazing... It really makes you think!

OMG!
Please tell me this is just a fluke question.
I'd hate to think that kids today are still being given grades, based on their interpretation of such bizarre lit.
