I thought feminists loathed Lifetime... I'm in Canada so I've never seen it, but I do read a lot of feminist books and blogs and all I've heard are disparaging remarks about it.

I call Lifetime the "Don't Steal my Baby" channel because every other movie shows a woman fighting to get or keep a baby. They have bad acting, bad scripts, and are overdramatic. I'd rather watch informercials for kitchen gadgets than that.

I like the one with the the dentist who gases his patients to sleep, and then got one pregnant. He raped several women. Or,
"He's too young to Be a Father" about a dude who gets a chick pregnant at the age of 16 or so.
And "Speak" is good too.
I don't normally watch Lifetime, but I do watch it sometimes because it's amusing.

I don't get cable, either, and haven't watched Lifetime for a good seven years, but there's one that I kind of liked about a poor girl who gets a full-ride scholarship to Harvard and then her drug-addict mom dies.

No men necessary! Ha.

And your first scenario doesn't work because it wouldn't end in tragedy. Sorry.

Well I personally favor the ones where a girl gets raped and then the guy gets away and/or everyone thinks she is a slut. It just makes me feel warm inside.

Why can't there be more womens channels like Oxygen? They play the Princess Bride!

I watch the History Channel.

I personally would not watch Lifetime under any condition. Is is so anti feminist that it makes me ill. If I want to put up with stereotyping and misogyny I will just visit Yahoo answers, Women's Studies.
