i have a yellow lab or ( Labidochromis caeruleus).

i reciently noticed that one of its eyes looks normal but the other one looks like the black part of the eye has spread... (pupil) im not sure if this is normal... it that a bad thing?


i can try getting a picture of it if knowone knows what im talking about lol

I can think of 3 causes for this. In order of likelihood I would say, physical damage, genetic flaw or an inner eye parasite. If you have had the fish more than a few weeks I would rule out the parasite as it would have developed much faster than that.

As long as the fish seems to function ok (swimming and eating well) I wouldn't be overly concerned as there most likely isn't anything you can really do to correct the problem.
