Dreams.... strange, erotic, emotional...obscure... they must all mean something, right?

I think dreams are a representation of what is embedded deep within the subconscious. I often have frustration or anxiety dreams before or after a major event. I also dream about people and things that I barely thought about during the day. Sometimes, I dream about things I thought about a lot also.

So, I think mostly our dreams are a representation of our own thoughts and feelings about ourselves and life in general.

However, in some circumstances, I think dreams are given to us for more specific reasons. Sometimes, people have dreams that predict the future. This has not happened to me, but it did to my roommate in college. She would often dream about things that would come true the next day. For example, once she dreamt about a party we were going to go to where a person got stabbed. So, she advised that we not go. We went, but left early because she was so uneasy. It turned out that somebody did get stabbed at the party that night after we left.

no, they "all" don't mean something. Dreams are the result of your brain processing all the events in your life, over and over, sorting them out for what ever reason. the office is closed (your asleep) now the paperwork can begin. SOme dreams can have some meaning, as you relate to past or present events, but you can't put to much stock in them. Dreams have been analyzed for years, and many come to the conclusion, that there is no set way to interpret dreams, some times things can mean one thing, compared to meaning something different to another person. we also get our emotions very confused in dreams, we often feel we love people we hate, or we laugh, when it is not funny. that is because the active brain can not get the correct signals from the dormant body. Dreams can be fun, but don't try to live your life by them, they are very unreliable,. Sometimes we can have a dream that can enlighten us a little, but it was all info stored away already. you would be amazed if you knew all the stuff you forget. and the dream you remember is barley 5% of the actual dream! a dream is not set, it is like a film on a loop, it plays over and over, but it changes a little each time, and anything can effect it, we actually only remember the few seconds right before we awake, and in dreams time seems normal, where at best it is only 90 seconds in lenght. So don't get to much into the imagery world of dreams, rality is is more amazing.

They could, but a lot of dreams are what exists in your subconscience and can be influenced by foods eaten before bedtime, movies or TV watched, music, or thoughts that have been on our minds for a while. They could mean things, at times. Spirits speak to us via dreams, I truly believe that--good and bad. Everything happens for a reason, even dreaming.

I had a dream once that I had a weiner that was really long and skinny then I ran out of the bathroom and it got caught on something and ripped off. When I went back in it was hanging on the wall with nails in it the shape of a 7. I do not know what that could mean.. Well.. I do but I don't think I am willing to do that..... :o)

No, I do not believe that dreams have any meaning. The human mind has a wild imagination. When we sleep our brains stay active and it is during this time that our brain starts to imagine as part of it's biological activity.

Yes I do, though most of the meanings have escaped me at the time of the dream and come to realization sometimes even years later...
