Ok, you will get a quadratic equation from this :

4*(3m - 2)*(m + 9) = 0

4*(3m^2 + 27m - 2m - 18) = 0

4*(3m^2 + 25m - 18) = 0

3m^2 + 25m - 18 = 0

Factorizing :

(m - 2)*(3m + 9) = 0

m will have two values :

m = 2 ; and m = -3

Hope that helps

4(3m - 2)(m + 9) = 0

There is no need to multiply the binomials and then factor the result, especially if the subsequent factoring is done incorreclly as in a previous answer - you already have the variable factors which are each set to zero to find the roots

3m - 2 = 0
3m = 2
m = 2/3

m + 9 = 0
m = -9

the equation simplifies to 12m^2+100M-72, which equals 0 at m=2/3, and m=-9

4(3m^2-2m+27m-18)=0

4(3m^2+25m-18)=0
12m^2+100m-72=0

(4m+36)(3m-2)=0
4m+36=0
4m=-36
m=-9
3m-2=0
3m=2
m=2/3

m=-9 m=2/3
