They don't use memory, they use hard drive space for storage. It all depends on how much you need. If you don't need that much storage, get something from 5-10 GB of space. If you need alot, like i do, get anywhere from 20-80 GB. With something that large, youll be able to store tons of songs,videos, whatever, and also use it to back up important info/programs from your computer so you have a backup

That totally depends on what you want to use it for. (It's an MP3 player, not 4)
I watch and record videos on mine, which is the 20GB Archos gMini and it's about the right size. My dad on the other hand just listens to music on his and has a 512MB Zen nano, which is a little too small.
So if you're just looking for music, I'd say 1-4 GB depending on how much you want on hand at once. For videos I'd say 20-30 GB unless you want to just keep everything on there forever.

As you assert which you're actually unable to load greater advantageous than 2 Gb . I have a 30 Gigabyte (GB) iPod. I think Zunes are also 30 GB.
iPod has two models for video 30 and 80 GB.
Buy how much you need.

ipod video 30gb. i have this and its perfect for videos its around $300 but its worth it. if your looking for video stay away from those 4gb or 8gb. believe me you will use your space fast.
