Relax yourself and take a deep breath. I've never TRIED it before, but it doesn't hurt. As long as you focus on what you're doing.

Make sure you are not using ones that are way to big for you, start off using a reg. for instance before you use a super. Also try to get ones that have a plastic aplicator as they are easier to glide in then the cardboard ones. When you do put them in , try standing by the toilet and put one foot up on the seat. take a deep breath in and glide the tampon in, relax your muscles and your mind. ( Just a note, by using the smaller tampon you are more likely going to have to change it alot sooner then the supers, so just be aware of this. When you are used to wearing them then you can change to the size needed per the heaveyness of your period) good luck

At first I used pads, then I tried tampons and I was doing them wrong at first. Are you really sure you're doing them right? After a while of using tampons I really started to hate them (they began to hurt me) and switched back to pads... I use a really thin kind - Carefree something or another in a pink pack. They're really nice. But when you're young you hate pads and think tampons are awesome.

Good luck sweetie.

make sure you follow all the directions, use an applicator. Small tampons and you can even wet the applicator down to get it in easier. Also relax, push it in with your finger if you need to.

I tried using tampon numerous times, but they always hurt. I was only able to use them after my bf fingered me and we had sex. Don;t go out and do those things so ou can use tampons. Good Luck!

I would talk it over with a close friend, who already is using tampons or your mom. If you don't want to discuss this with your mom, ask friend to help you. She could be standing outside the bathroom door & give you directions. :)

if it is hard to get in just dampen it a little with water it might be easy. and also relax all thru the process. and always insert when you are on your period not when you are not.
