My girlfriend noticed a few days ago that the area under her breasts were turning different colors, some brownish pink and red, and now the skin is starting to peel (kinda like when your skin peels from a sun burn). I don't think she has been in the sun too long to get some kind of sun burn but the symptoms of this problem are really worrying her.

It is probably from moisture & rubbing. Is this a new symptom for her? Have her switch to wearing cotton underwear which absorbs moisture better & allows her body to breathe. It could be some kind of dermatitis, psoriasis or candida. It's good to use some drying agent you can purchase @ the drug store.
If this condition doesn't resolve itself soon or gets worse have her consult her doc. It is difficult to diagnose her symptoms without being seen.

Have her go get it checked out. Is the skin puckering like the peel of an orange?

Is it pink or getting darker brown? Does she have large/heavy breasts? Does the skin smell?

It's common for women to get yeast infections there. No one talks about it because we all think it's just a vaginal thing. . . but anywhere warm yeast can grow. . .

If it's getting darker brown more than pink--see the doc ASAP and demand a mammogram. (Young women DO get breast cancer and we present in weird ways) if it is pink/more like a rash it's probably yeast--have her spray some lotrimin antifungal spray on it for a few days. It should get better.

it could be candidiasis..similar to "athletes foot" but occurs in skin folds elsewhere on the body too.

it could also be a reaction to a new detergent shes used to wash her bra in.

if it doesnt clear up in a few days, or if it starts to itch or bleed, have her head to a doctor.

Yeast. She needs nitrate powder, to dry up moisture. it's from sweating in nylon bras. wear cotton, it breathes. I'm a nurse.
