i've calculated my respective grade from the final and the project and it still ends out to be a failing grade. I somehow have a moral questions in which i need help on.

A. If i take the final, knowing i will still fail the class assuming i get perfect, will that make my conscious feel better about "attempting" and trying for the final?

B. Should i just admit defeat and try harder next time?

what should i do?

Of course you should take the final. The only reason not to is to give yourself the stupidest excuse in the world: 'well.. I only failed because I didn't take the final... '... What does giving up say about your character?

Go and take the final. I guarantee that you'll learn something... and if you still fail.. you come out that much better when you take it again.

If you've stuck it out this long, why not take the final? As you said, then you will know that you put effort into it, and even if it didn't work out, you stuck to your commitment and hopefully next time will be better.

On the other hand, you never know. Perhaps the professor will grade on a curve. Perhaps so many people will have trouble with the final that the scale changes. Perhaps the final is purposely much easier than the other exams in the semester. Perhaps the professor will recognize you kept trying and did your best, and will cut you some slack for that.

It's only a few more hours of effort and you've got nothing to lose by trying your best and taking the final.

Good luck!

do not difficulty i'm interior an identical boat as you. I purely have been given back my very final mark for classic arts type (i'm taking digital animation) and so a techniques it is shown that I even have failed that path. In my modeling type, my cutting-edge grade is kind of a 39.4 on the 2d, so yeah I understand your discomfort. I too am failing 2 instructions this semester and it is thank you to late to repair it. It relies upon on your marks at first. How badly are you failing? For my TA type, I failed by applying a million p.c.! I have been given a 40 9 and the passing grade is a 50. so once you're failing by applying like 10+ marks then, yeah it nonetheless ought to help you in case you seem for the finals. yet once you do finally end up failing, all i will recommend which you will do, is do what i will do, pass in and communicate to an academic liaison and notice in case you are able to retake those 2 classes which you failed. in the event that they don't look to be necessary although, why torture your self, purely take the failing grades and overlook approximately them. yet examine to be certain in the event that they're necessary first, because of the fact in the event that they're then you fairly would desire to take them returned in case you failed them. So i assume it does not harm to look to finals in view which you on no account understand, you need to gain this properly on your finals, which you pass with a fifty one% or so. I purely remorseful approximately being too scared to talk to my professors, yet it fairly is my situation, i'm too scared to pass and ask them for help. :(

What would make you feel better emotionally? You should talk to your teacher and ask him or her for some help in retaking the class. If you are going to get really stressed out taking the final then don't but if you want to for your own sake then do. Don't give up and hold you head up high. Sometimes we find things that are harder than we expect but it is important to get though these times. I hope this helps. Just remember you will do just fine in life.

I would suggest that you go and talk with your teacher about your grades and see if you can work something out. See if you could talk him/her into giving you a grade of c and also see if you can do some extra work during the summer for that particular class. I would come up with some story about your family life and etc. and how that is impacting your grades. See if you can talk with your teacher.

See if you can get a pass/fail instead of a letter grade. I think some schools actually implement this.

You already know what you're going to do. So go drink that cold beer and forget about the final.
