You are not overracting about not giving your kids a bath during a lightning storm. It is dangerous.

Theoretically, if lightning strikes your house, the electrical charge could travel along any metal pipes you have, or through the water in those pipes.

well the only reason people say that is because water conducts electricity so really dont do it!! it can be dangerous
