Did you flash them?. That usually makes people like you better, especially if you are sexy and not fat.

I'm from Virginia and I moved to Mexico last year with my husband. At first I was caught up on comparing "this" to "that" and trying to have everything the same as I had it in the U.S. and that caused me to be very miserable at first. I came back to VA for the holidays and I'm flying back to Mexico Monday and I can't wait! It's a big culture shock but all in all Mexico is a great place!!! Everyone is very nice and most people don't judge you for what you have like here in the U.S. In Mexico I had the internet, satellite tv, a cell phone, and basically everything I had in the U.S. although it is more expensive in Mexico. The houses to me were strange at first because they are made of concrete and I had never seen anything like that but there are some that are friggin beautiful. I've been to really poor places and really beautiful places but all in all I really like Mexico. The only problem I have are the corrupt police. I got rear-ended by a bus and I was the one who got a ticket for "following too closely"!

Thats how it is in Mexico sweetie. I am white with blonde hair and blue eyes-the most desired in mexico is someone with light skin and fair eyes. My husband is from Mexico and the reason I fell for him was because he wasn't acting like an idiot trying to get my attention. Yes when I am around people from Mexico (I mean here in the US) I get starred at. When I go down to Mexico though, my husband could be invisible for all the men down there care. You just have to realize that you are so different from them and the people there, that they are intrigued by you. I had women starring at me-one was hilarious, little pregnant woman at the bank. Just don't let it go to your pretty little red head. And I agree, that just because they aren't too chicken to let you see that they find you attractive, doesn't mean they are "dirty mexicans" as some people say. But they could tone it down. I felt the same sometimes, guys here may have liked me, but I never knew about it.

Best case scenario... probably liked so much because you're in good shape, you have red hair (if you have red or blonde, more eyes on you) and every time they hollered at you, you giggled instead of giving them the middle finger.
Worst case scenario... they probably wanted to get laid (using those outdated tactics and phony lines), wanted to make a quick buck off you from whatever they were selling, wanted to take a pic with/of you and show it off to their friends braggin about their GF from the US (or worse yet, sell your pic to the guys in prison) and last but not least, them fools are trying to marry ANY American women so that they can become legal... yeah baby!
Sorry, didn't mean to disillusion you... =O)

Ok its your figure and your hair. If you stand out anyone will look.. Thats good you felt so pretty too I am sure you dont notice it as much here in the US though. When you go on vacations it makes you more aware of your surroundings..(looking around an stuff)
Glad you had fun though~

Please understand that they do that to ALL the foreign girls. I have lived in Mexico for 3 years now....and I have learned to block it out. They are giving you this attention for a number of reasons.
1. You are truly pretty and they want to compliment you
2. They "appreciate" the fact that you are foreign....and want to get down your pants. We have a terrible, easy reputation here....if you already didn't know that.
3. They want to use you for a good time and/or money.
4. They are hoping to hook up with you to get out of the country.
5. They are nice guys who want to meet new people.
6. They want to party.
So.....not ALL men are sleazy....just like ALL men are not genuine. The thing you need to do is separate the two and only give genuine guys attention.

That's just the way they act. Sorry to burst your bubble. I've experienced the same thing in Mexico. I'm not sure of the reasoning behind it. But I never felt threatened by it. Just keep walking and they'll leave you alone.

They are so different are'nt they? guys over there express their feelings more clearly and openly when they look at a girl. It feels a little weird though doesnt it, like if you cant walk a couple blocks without having someone's eyes following you.

After 500 years of Australoidic Mayans, Spaniards, West African Negroes, New Guinean Melanesian Negroes, Jews, Arabs, Gypsies, and Filipino Pygmies ALL crossbreeding with each other to create this surreal brown hogh-pogh... they decided that YOUR racial purity was the order of the day.

1 they compliment many of the girls.
2 being very white with red hair makes you stand out. they don't see that many very white people, and they don't see that many red haired people.
3 from your description I don't doubt that you get looks wherever you go.
