The government continues moving toward a greater deficit, what program or policy would you choose to cut?

Why do you choose that program?

Foreign Aid.. If helped Americans just as much as we helped other countries, then maybe we could start conquering some of the homeless, jobless and social security issues that we have right here in America. America first, everybody else second.

I would start with ALL Congressional Perks!
I would tell the people in the Federal Bureacracy that they will have to work instead of constantly hiring others to do their work.
I would then make ALL members of Congress pay TAXES on their (BLOATED [from fleecing the taxpayers]) retirement accounts and make them pay into Social Security (LIKE EVERYONE ELSE). THEN I would make them follow the laws they pass to "govern" us and watch how many more are indicted over infractions!

Then watch them fix SS and show us the REAL numbers on the deficit!!!

REMEMBER: The government governs at through the good graces of the voter! You want change? VOTE!!

I'd also cut welfare by putting people to work on public works and infrastructure projects!

I'd like to see an end to the war in Iraq, subsidies to the oil companies, the giveaway of public lands for mineral extraction and grazing rights under archaic laws. How's that for a start?

We need to eliminate all foreign aid. I am tired of seeing elderly americans die from lack of medical care and food because of the stupidity of the talking heads in washington.

I would cut everything but national defense and homeland security. The US government should not be in the business of social engineering. I think all social programs should be phased out.
