Once you have a Hotmail account that will work with Outlook, follow these steps to configure the Hotmail Outlook connection:

1. In the Outlook main menu, click Tools, then E-mail Accounts. This launches the E-mail Accounts wizard.

2. Select Add a new e-mail account, then click Next.

3. Select HTTP, then click Next.

4. In the HTTP Mail Service Provider box, select Hotmail.

5. Fill in the Your Name field.

6. Enter your full Hotmail mail address (including the "@hotmail.com") in the E-mail Address field. When you do, that information automatically appears in the User Name field as well.

7. Enter your Hotmail password in the Password field.

8. Set the Remember password checkbox so Outlook can check your Hotmail account without you having to manually enter your password each time it tries.

9. Make sure that the Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) box is not set.

10. click Next, then Finish.

You should now see your Hotmail folders in the Outlook folders list.

first off, is your hotmail "free" version or did you pay?

Microsoft has stopped support for the FREE version of hotmail to be used by Outlook.

Its the relationship between the pc and the replace server". do the different structures have static ips too? maybe attempt changing this pc's ip to a distinctive one or have it use dhcp. are you able to ping or telnet a hundred and ten to the replace server from the pc?
